The Office of the Liquor and Gambling Commissioner (OLGC) plays a vital role in the regulation of the liquor, gaming, casino, wagering and lottery industries in South Australia.
The Office of the Liquor and Gambling Commissioner aims to:
- Encourage responsible attitudes towards the promotion, sale, supply, consumption and use of liquor and gambling products.
- Minimise the harm associated with the consumption of liquor and use of gambling products.
- Further the interests of the liquor, live music, tourism and hospitality industries.
- Ensure that the sale, supply and consumption of liquor contributes to, and does not detract from, the amenity of South Australian community life.
- Ensure public confidence in the State’s gambling industries.
- Ensure the sustainability of the Gaming Machines Act.
