Each week the Notice of Vacancies service provides one location to access information relating to all career opportunities available within South Australian Public Sector Departments, including all the Attorney-General's Department.

The www.vacancies.sa.gov.au website lists ALL career opportunities, including some only available to Public Sector employees. Members of the public can apply for vacancies marked (Advt).

These positions are also advertised in the public press, such as The Advertiser, The Australian and local newspapers.

Eligibility

An applicant for an ongoing position must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status.

An applicant for a contract position must have a visa, which allows them to work in Australia for the period of the contract.

Graduate Recruitment

The Graduate Recruitment Program seeks to increase the number of university graduates achieving employment in the South Australian Public Sector.

The Graduate Recruitment Program is a 12-month training and development program that provides a comprehensive and challenging induction into a South Australian Public Sector career path. The Attorney-General's Department actively seeks graduates through this program, particularly suitably qualified Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander graduates.

Employing People with a Disability

The strategy for the Employment of People with Disabilities in the South Australian Public Sector aims to identify and employ eligible people with a permanent disability in South Australian Public Sector agencies, including the Attorney-General’s Departmental business units.

Government Youth Traineeship Program

These employment opportunities are in support of the Government’s commitment to provide youth, particularly those most disadvantaged, the opportunity to enter the labour market by means of a traineeship.

A traineeship combines formal training undertaken at a Registered Training Organisation and on-the-job training (employment) by a State public sector agency. Traineeships are for a period of 12 months.
