The Notice of Vacancies website lists all Government of South Australia career opportunities, including those only available to Public Sector employees. Members of the public can apply for vacancies marked (Advt) which are also advertised in newspapers such as The Advertiser, The Australian and local and regional press.
What AGD offers
The Attorney-General's Department can offer a range of work experience, volunteering, and job opportunities to people from a vast array of backgrounds, experiences, and educational levels.
There are opportunities to work directly with a wide range of people, or to undertake support roles in administration, research, project management, or policy development. Full-time or part-time opportunities exist for ongoing, temporary, contract or casual vacancies, with a variety of employment conditions and flexible working arrangements, depending on the job and the agency you work in.

Most vacancies within the Attorney-General's Department are not open to the general public. However, from time to time, vacancies in Attorney-General's Department business units are advertised in daily Australian newspapers inviting application from outside the public sector, and in the Notice of Vacancies, the online government vacancy publication.
An applicant for an ongoing position must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status.
An applicant for a contract position must have a visa, which allows them to work in Australia for the period of the contract. More information about migrating to South Australia and gaining permission to work is provided by Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

The Graduate Recruitment Program seeks to increase the number of university graduates achieving employment in the South Australian Public Sector.
The Graduate Recruitment Program is a 12-month training and development program that provides a comprehensive and challenging induction into a South Australian Public Sector career path. The Attorney-General's Department actively seeks graduates through this program, particularly suitably qualified Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander graduates.
Employing people with disability
The strategy for the employment of people with disabilities in the South Australian Public Sector aims to identify and employ eligible people with a permanent disability in South Australian Public Sector agencies. This includes the Attorney-General’s Departmental business units.
