Guardianship & Public Advocacy Programs
The Office of the Public Advocate (OPA) also provides an education program. Regular information forums are held by the OPA.
The forums cover topics relevant to people with mental incapacity including;
- the role of the OPA how the Guardianship Board works
- what Board orders mean and how they operate medical consent in relation to persons with reduced mental capacity
- advance directives and
- matters concerning the legislation.
