Multicultural SA Programs and Training
Multicultural SA – Women’s Leadership Program
A priority for Multicultural SA is to respond to issues raised by culturally and linguistically diverse women in South Australia.
As a result of consultations with key women’s organisations, the South Australian Multicultural and Ethnic Affairs Commission identified the need to provide additional skills and information to culturally and linguistically diverse background women who were working in a voluntary capacity assisting their communities to deliver various services. Women’s Leadership Courses, a Mentoring Program and other activities were developed to facilitate training of women to be effective leaders and role models for other women in their communities.
Although the courses are open to women from all communities, there is a focus on new and emerging communities.
