Indigenous Business Month is a chance to celebrate the Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander entrepreneurs and businesses achieving success in South Australia.

Indigenous Business Month, now in its 7th year, is an initiative that sees business as a way of providing positive role models for young, Aboriginal Australians.

There are around 240 registered Aboriginal-owned businesses in South Australia in industries including law, construction, management, project services, catering, art and more.

These Aboriginal individuals, businesses and organisations make significant contributions to the South Australian economy each day.

To further assist Indigenous-owned enterprises, the Government of South Australia has partnered with the Australian Government to launch The Circle – First Nations Entrepreneur Hub.

Located at Lot Fourteen in the heart of Adelaide, The Circle has been established to assist the South Australian Aboriginal Business Sector by providing increased connections, capacity, capability and confidence.

There are currently more than 50 members of The Circle, and free membership is open to all South Australian Aboriginal-owned and operated businesses.
