Following consultation, a suburb boundary realignment within Buckland Park has been approved, that will create the new suburb of Riverlea Park.

The new suburb will encompass a major new urban development project, and the developer requested the change, to help differentiate the area from Buckland Park’s distinct agricultural and rural identity.

The boundary was determined by a range of factors, including the need to establish logical and recognisable boundaries, existing development plan zoning and road networks. The suburb boundary is bound by the Gawler River to the north, Port Wakefield Highway to the east, Carmelo Rd, Brooks Rd and Thompson Rd to the south and existing property boundaries to the west.

Most affected by the change will be prospective or recent purchasers of allotments within the site.

Residents, businesses and landowners will be contacted to advise them of the suburb name, and provide advice about updating their address details with relevant organisations.

The Office of the Surveyor-General will update location and address details (for all addresses affected) for Land Services SA (Lands Titles Office), Australia Post and emergency services.
