People are being invited to have their say about a proposed suburb boundary realignment within the northern suburb of Buckland Park, to create a new suburb called Riverlea Park.

The new suburb would encompass a major new urban development project, and the developer has requested the change, to help differentiate the area from Buckland Park's distinct agricultural and rural identity.

Those most likely affected would be prospective or recent purchasers of allotments within the site, as well as those living on the fringes.

The proposed new boundary has logical and recognisable boundaries, including Port Wakefield Highway to the east and along Carmelo Road to the south.

The Surveyor-General is seeking the community's views on what is proposed, with consultation open until 5pm, Thursday 29 November 2021.
