Jury duty provision increased for people aged over 70

24 February 2016

The State Government will move to allow people over 70-years-old to sit on juries in South Australia.

Attorney-General John Rau said amendments to existing law will remove the current maximum age of 70 years for jurors, but will allow any person summoned for jury service aged 70-years-old and over to be automatically excused if they wish.
