Large shipping company convicted for fatal crush injury

The family of a worker killed on a barge at the end of 2012 has received compensation as part of a decision made by the Industrial Court this last week.

The Industrial Court convicted Inco Ships Pty Ltd, a specialist vessel management services company, and imposed a penalty of $200 000 plus court costs, as well as compensation of $20 000 to the worker’s spouse and children.
