State Government welcomes the final report of the Child Protection Systems Royal Commission

The South Australian Government released the final report of the Child Protection Systems Royal Commission.

Thanking Commissioner Margaret Nyland for her report, Premier Jay Weatherill committed his Government to a fresh start for child protection in South Australia.

An initial $200 million over the forward estimates was committed to commence implementing the wide-ranging reforms. 

A formal, detailed response to the Royal Commission will be presented before the end of 2016, in line with the report’s final recommendation.
