Gambling law passage paves way for casino expansion

25 July 2013

The Government’s gambling reform has passed the Upper House today.

The passing of the legislation allows for the casino expansion to proceed, which is expected to create many hundreds of hospitality and construction jobs over the coming years.

The legislation also allows for the maximum bet in South Australia to be halved from $10 to $5.

The Bill is expected to pass the Lower House today before becoming law at a date yet to be proclaimed.
