Exhumation application

The first step in arranging an exhumation is to apply for an exhumation licence from the Attorney-General. 

For further information regarding exhumations in South Australia view the Burial and Cremation Act 2013  and information from SA Health regarding human remains.

The exhumation licence application form includes details of criteria, information and documentation required by the Attorney-General for consideration of the application.

There is no specific timeframe on the process of these requests, as each application has different circumstances.
