Presented by Dr Chris Bleby SC, Solicitor General of South Australia. This CPD seminar will consider how the legislatures have become highly active in regulating all facets of the criminal law.  

The legislatures have become highly active in regulating all facets of the criminal law. It is more important than ever for prosecution and defence counsel to have a good command of the essential features of text, context and purpose of legislation. This seminar will consider how to approach these features in the context of substantive criminal and sentencing legislation recently considered by the High Court and Supreme Court of South Australia.

The following seminar which is open to all South Australian legal practitioners. Attendance may count towards Mandatory Continuing Professional Development requirements.
