The change will mean that a planned housing development, on vacant land bordered by Commercial and Jared Roads, will be located in a single suburb, Port Noarlunga South.

Currently the land is located in both Seaford Meadows and Port Noarlunga South.

The Onkaparinga River Recreation Park will also solely be located in Port Noarlunga South.

Surveyor-General Michael Burdett said the boundary change would create a more uniform suburb boundary and provide certainty for parcel delivery and emergency service response in the future.

Consultation with the local community was held in June-July 2021. No current addresses will be impacted.

The change will come into effect following publication in the South Australian Government Gazette, from 23 December 2021.
