Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation is leading the development of a whole-of-government Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which is a deliverable under the Aboriginal Affairs Action Plan.

RAPs are practical plans of action built on relationships, respect and opportunities. The RAP initiative was established by Reconciliation Australia in 2006, with finalised RAPs registered with Reconciliation Australia.

The Attorney-General's Department, along with other state government departments, has formalised its commitment to Reconciliation through it's own RAP.
