Each year, Australians come together to celebrate NAIDOC Week and to honour the history, cultures, contribution and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

In 2025, NAIDOC Week was celebrated from 6 to 13 July with the theme The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy (external site) (external site). This year marks a milestone of 50 years of honouring and elevating Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience. The theme celebrates not only the achievements of the past, but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of our ancestors.

The South Australian Government Calendar of Events showcases the variety of government events planned across the state in recognition of NAIDOC Week. The calendar for 2025 was available from this page in the lead up to and during NAIDOC Week.

The commitment and tireless work of the state, regional and local NAIDOC committees, organisations and individuals is essential to the success of NAIDOC Week.
